New in 2025.12 – Visual refresh and productivity improvements

Version 2025.12 brings a fresh Material 3 visual refresh, the ability to log multiple contacts at once, unlimited aliases for better automatic contact detection, and a new “New” badge in batch import to help you spot recently added contacts.

We’re excited to announce a major update to Smart Contact Reminder! Version 2025.12 brings a fresh new look with Material 3 design, along with several productivity features that you’ve been asking for.

A fresh new look with Material 3

The entire app has received a visual refresh based on Google’s latest Material 3 design guidelines. You’ll notice updated colors, typography, and overall polish throughout the app.

On supported devices, the app’s color scheme now adapts to your system colors, so it feels right at home alongside your other apps. The new design feels more modern while maintaining the familiar navigation you’re used to.

Log multiple contacts at once

Ever had a group call or a dinner with friends and wanted to log it for everyone at once? Now you can! When logging a contact, you can add additional contacts to the same log entry.

This is perfect for family gatherings, group video calls, or any situation where you’ve been in touch with several people at the same time.

Unlimited contact aliases

We’ve removed the limit on contact aliases. Whether you know someone by multiple nicknames, their maiden name, or various spellings – you can now add as many aliases as you need.

This is especially useful for automatic contact detection, where the same person might use different names on different social networks. For example, your friend John might go by “johnny_adventures” on Instagram – adding this as an alias ensures the app recognizes the contact correctly across all platforms.

New contacts highlighted in batch import

The batch import screen now highlights contacts that are new to your phone since the last time you checked. Look for the “New” badge next to recently added system contacts – this makes it easier to spot people you might want to start tracking without scrolling through your entire contact list.

Under the hood

As always, this release includes various performance improvements, bug fixes, and updated translations to make the app run smoother.

We’ve also switched to a date-based versioning scheme (2025.12.x) to make it clearer when updates were released.
